GBS - Brand and Visual Communications
The Brief GBS wanted to refresh their current visual brand and extend it to create some more visual elements for use in printed and online communications. We were also charged with creating a sales tool to enable them to easily present the USP of GBS to potential clients. They were very keen to keep the intrinsic visual elements and colours of their current logo, this meant that we needed to work with a spherical shape and with a black, orange and white colour palett The Solution - Brand We felt that the squiggly line in the current logo globe visually represented the exact opposite of what GBS do! Geospatial Solutions create carefully organised information in ways that are directlyand easily accessible to users. We felt that a 3-D grid pattern with ‘nodes’ of various sizes was a better visual representation of what Geospatial location intelligence is all about. We also brought in a new, more modern font to be used in all communications. The Solution - Sales Tools We decided to use photography in a dynamic way by combining high contrast black and white photos with bright orange overlays. We used heavyweight silk stock to give both the business cards and the brochure a premium feel.
